I appreciate other people's prayers for that, but I believe that we are given a set of guidelines, and that we are obligated to live our lives with a view to those guidelines. And I don't that believe we should live our lives that way for some promise of eternal life, but because that's what's right. We should do those things because that's what's right."

Я согласен с ней по обоим пунктам. Он/она/оно уже давным-давно не интересуется тем, что происходит на Земле/в нашей солнечной системе/в нашей Галактике. А если даже и интересуется, а может, даже и вмешивается, то каким-то своим, нечеловеческим (божественным) образом. Так что нет смысла пытаться обращать Божественное внимание на наши мелкие человеческие делишки.
